Make Your Selection:

 On every buckle listing page, there are example pictures of that buckle style (segmented buckle examples on the listing page for Build Your Segmented Ranger Buckle, Plain Jane buckles shown on the Build Your Plain Jane Ranger Buckle page, etc) and a picture showing the choices of buckle shape silhouettes and their corresponding names. Another picture will list the approximate size of each buckle (height and width), in sizes to fit a 1.5" width belt and a 1" belt. 

Once you've decided on the buckle shape you want and the size opening it needs to fit your belt, simply choose it by name and your belt width (1.5" or 1"), from the drop-down box labeled Choose Your Buckle Shape. If your belt requires a different size, just Contact us to discuss. 

Our steel buckles feature metal overlays soldered on top of the steel.  The buckle sides or "arms" that extend along the top and bottom of the buckle can be overlaid with your metal of choice (see our Metal Selection Guide for detailed information on each type of metal.  (*Plain Jane style buckles have no metal overlay on the buckle sides).

The metal for your personalizations (brand, initials, logo, etc) is chosen separately so you're not confined to the same metal choice you make for the buckle sides.  The metal you pick for your personalizations will be the same for both the buckle and keeper (i.e. if your brand is copper on the buckle, your initials will be copper on the keeper, unless you request them to be different). 

If you add a belt tip to your order, you will select the metal overlay you prefer  from the box provided- you can choose to match either the buckle sides or your personalizations (if you're choosing contrasting metals).

While it might not be immediately apparent to an untrained eye, each scroll must flow in a precise direction, following established guidelines that ensure the overall harmony of the design. Scrollwork Elegance: Timeless and Refined

If you're drawn to classic aesthetics, scrollwork engraving is the perfect choice. These intricate, flowing patterns gracefully frame your brand, adding an element of luxury and refinement to your buckle.  Scrollwork complements a wide range of styles and occasions, making it a versatile choice. As described above, scrollwork has specific rules of design, and the engraving around your brand will be designed to fit your particular brand or design and placed at the engraver's discretion. 

Basketweave Boldness: Distinctive and Eye-Catching

For those who prefer a bolder look, our basketweave engraving option is a striking choice. The geometric precision of the basketweave design adds a captivating texture and depth to your buckle. The unique character of basketweave is perfect for those who appreciate bold expressions of individuality.

 Rectangular or Bourbon Barrel-Shaped Keeper: Choose the shape that suits your style. 

 Rectangular Keeper: This classic and timeless shape offers a sleek and minimalist appearance. It aligns well with a more traditional style, giving your buckle a classic look. Rectangular keepers are versatile and suitable for various occasions, effortlessly blending with both casual and dressy attire. They are often preferred for a clean and polished appearance. 

Bourbon Barrel-Shaped Keeper: In contrast, the barrel-shaped keeper brings a touch of uniqueness and character to your buckle. This shape adds subtle curves and a more organic feel to the accessory. Bourbon barrel-shaped keepers are favored by those looking to infuse a bit of personality into their buckle. They work exceptionally well with Western or rugged styles, offering a hint of the Old West charm. This option allows you to break away from convention and make a statement. 

 When choosing between these shapes, consider the overall style you want to achieve. Rectangular keepers offer versatility and sophistication, while barrel-shaped keepers introduce a dash of individuality and authenticity to your buckle. The choice ultimately depends on your personal preference and the vibe you want to convey. 

Customization options: 

• Standard Scrollwork: Our steel belt keepers come standard with beautifully engraved scrollwork.
• Initials or Small Motif: Instead of scrollwork, you can choose to overlay your initials, a cross, or a small motif on the keeper, with a textured background on the steel.
• Metal Overlay: Personalize your keeper by overlaying it with the same metal as your brand/customization  (+ $20). 
• Enhanced Personalization: For an additional $20, you can select both engraved scrollwork and overlay your initials or other motif on the keeper.

With these options, you have the freedom to create a belt keeper that perfectly complements your style and preferences. Make your selections from the boxes provided. For specific personalization details, such as initials, font preferences, or other motifs for the keeper such as a state silhouette, antler, or other item, please provide the specifics in the Other Information box.

1. Steel Tongue (Traditional Buckle Fastening):

• Timeless Appeal: The steel tongue is the traditional and classic choice for a ranger buckle. It swings from the bar on the back of the buckle and fits securely through a hole on the belt.
• Ease of Use: This tried-and-true method provides a secure and straightforward way to fasten your belt, ensuring it stays comfortably in place throughout the day.
• Visible from Front: The steel tongue is visible from the front, adding an authentic touch to your ranger buckle ensemble.

2. Concealed Hook (Sleek and Discreet):

• Understated Elegance: For those who appreciate a sleek and minimalist appearance, our hook option is an excellent choice. It's soldered to the back of the buckle and remains entirely hidden from the front view.
• Seamless Finish: The concealed hook offers a seamless finish, allowing the beauty of your buckle's design to take center stage without any visible hardware.
• Effortless Fastening: While it maintains a clean look, the concealed hook ensures your belt remains securely fastened with ease.

With these options, you have the freedom to choose the fastening style that aligns perfectly with your personal style and preferences. 

 Our belt tips aren't just practical; they're the finishing touch that completes your buckle set.  Unlike the machine-made belt tips you might find elsewhere, ours are hand-fabricated from metal sheet, and formed individually. This hands-on approach ensures that each tip is made with care, making it as unique as your style.
